Originaly designed as Kustenwachboote  ( coastguard boat ) with W 32 pendant number.  Rated as inshore minesweeper on 01 January 1968  - M 2672.  Re-allocated  Y 1653 in November 1969. In 1973 she was re-allocated as M 2659  NAUTILUS.
On 26 November 1993 she was in collision with the Russian trawler  " TURKYAN ".
She was decommissioned on 28 April 1994 at Wilhemshaven and sold for scrap in 1996 to a Danish breaker. She left Wilhemshaven 01 July 1996.
