Originaly designed as Kustenwachboote ( coastguard boat ) with W 34 pendant number. Rated as inshore minesweeper on 01 January 1967 - M 2674. Re-allocated  Y 1665 in November 1969.
In 1973 she was re-allocated as M 2661 MEDUSA.
After been decommissioned on 14 June 2001 she was laid up at Wilhemshaven till 2004 when she was sold for scrap to a Danish breaker. She left Wilhemshaven on 13 December 2004.
