USS TRUTTA was decommissioned in march 1946 and laid up at New London / Groton.
Re-commissioned on 01 march 1951 to be decommissioned again at Charleston Naval Shipyard,SC on 4 may 1952 for GUPPY II A modernisation. Commissioned after conversion on 2 January 1953.
Finally decommissioned and struck from the Naval Register on the first of July 1972 and transferred by sale to TURKEY. She was renamed : TCG  CERBE  S 340.
