From 31 August 1979 till 17 September 1981 she was converted as a guidance ship for the TROIKA'S. ( minesweeper - drones ).
In 2000 the SOUTH AFRICAAN NAVY purchased 6 type 351 Troika type mine countermeasure vessels, they arrived all on 9 March 2001 at Simonstown, S.A. but only two of theme were commissioned into service.
The M 1082 WOLFSBURG was renamed SAS TEKWINI M 1225 and was commissioned on 05 September 2001 till 2008.
