On saturday August 25 th 2018, the Z 19 SONJA sank in near gale - force winds in the North Sea, off the coast of Great Yarmouth ( U.K. ). Four hours after the sinking 3 crew members where picked up by the cruise ship PACIFIC PRINCESS. The other 2 crewmembers were sadly found a day later dead.
