Laid down on 15 07 1969 as ARCHERON a Armament Supply Ship. On 30 05 1970 launched
and in 1973 the buildingplans were changed from a Armament Supply Ship to a Maintennace and
repair ship and renamed JULES VERNE. After the transformation the JULES VERNE A 620 was
commissioned on 17 09 1976.
On 17 09 2010 she was decommissioned and laid up at Brégaillon ( Toulon ) till 29 05 2016 when
she arrived at Gent ( Belgium ) at the scrapyard Van Heyghen Recycling Galloo to be broken up.
