USS GOLDSBOROUGH was decommissioned and the same time stricken from the Naval register on 30 April 1993. She was sold to the Royal Australian Navy on 17 September 1993 and arrived on 2 February 1994 at Sydney. She was cannibalized for spare parts and training equipment. When fully stripped the hulk was sold for scrap to a Indian compagny in August 1994
